It is that spooktacular time of year and one of my favorite holidays is Halloween. If you enjoy throwing Halloween parties here are 5 songs that I feel you should have on your playlist. These aren’t your typical selections so I like to think that this will add to your nights party.

5.  The theme song from the X files. Yes. just. do. it.  Find the song and add it to your Halloween playlist.  There is something about this song that just feels like a good Halloween Song. There are some good remixes of this song as well. Sure to be a hit at any party.

4. You want people dancing? Try the Knife- “Silent Shout.”  This song will add an interesting element to your party. The music has a strange energy to it that will enhance your Halloween party.

3) The theme song for Jaws. This iconic movie deserves some attention. Anyone that has seen the movie knows this song added to the movie. No one that has seen the movie and then hears this song- will forget how scary that movie is. I love the movie Jaws and this song is going to be on my Halloween Playlist.

2)  This song is sure to get people dancing. Halloween Head by Ryan Adams. Even if it doesn’t get the room dancing it sure will be an ear worm for anyone that hears it. Anyways, how can anyone not like a song about addiction?

1) Every day is Halloween by Ministry. Don’t you wish every day is Halloween? This has a fun sound and will add to your party list.

I didn’t include a lot of  my favorites. I think we all fall into a rut when it comes to the Halloween Playlist. I was wanting to share songs that many don’t think of off the top of their head when it comes to traditional Halloween party play lists. I am not saying to ditch Thriller or Monster Mash. I am  saying add these songs to your list.

What songs do you like that reminds you of  Halloween? Share in the comments.

Have a great Halloween.
