I don’t know about any of you but lipstick is something I love to wear. It is something I always have on me and lately, I never leave the house without wearing it. I am from the south and it you don’t feel like putting on a full face of make-up. Mascara and lipstick will do. Most southern women consider that the bare minimum.

Lipstick help you put your best face forward

Lipstick is a wonderful way to show and bring confidence. Have you ever seen someone wearing a bold color and they look like the Girl Boss of your dreams?  it’s amazing what a pop of color on one’s lips can do for one’s confidence. So what do you do if you want to try on lipstick and you are not sure or comfortable of being out in public looking at lipstick. I personally love going to sephora or Ulta and looking at makeup. Trying on lipstick for me is fun. I recently bought a very bright pink MAC lipstick. In Candy Yum Yum. It’s a very hot pink and I love the compliments I get when I am out and about, I am told it looks great on me and my big kissable lips. Hee-hee

Are you lipstick curious and reluctant to wear?

So even if you don’t like lipstick but want a pop of color, lipgloss or a lip stain might be something you want to try.  Here is an idea for those of you that want to wear lipstick but are afraid to be caught. They make ph lipsticks. This Blossom Shimmering PH Color. It works with your natural color and brightens your lips. You can find a ph lipstick at the pharmacy or any high end department store. Prices range for $5.00 to $50.00 depending on the brand.

Now sites like Sephora and Ulta have online options where you can see what the lipstick looks like. You will need the site you choose to have access to your camera on your phone and then they will show you what the lipstick of your choice looks like if you put it on. It’s not the best way to try on lipstick. Nothing beats going to the store and trying it on and looking in the mirror. Don’t forget to smack those lips!

There are other apps for you to try makeup on virtually but most start off with a free trial and then charge. You can find them on your own.

Before you pucker up!

Take care of those lips! Keep them hydrated. Keep them soft. There are lip scrubs and lip masks you can wear at night. I like to make a sugar scrub with a little sugar and olive oil or coconut oil and brush on my lips and take a soft toothbrush and brush gently with it. I also use a lip mask at night.

My lips are very kissable! How about yours?

Pucker up!
